The Three Main Types of Transcription Services

Transcription service is a booming industry. It can prove to be quite a lucrative career provided you are willing to put in a bit of extra hard work. Transcription is basically a type of service that coverts the contents of audios and videos into texts. A client can ask you to get the texts in different formats such as report, script, letter, e-documents, etc. Though it is being employed in different field these days, but the field can be classified into three main categories – Medical Transcription, Legal Transcription and Audio or General Transcription. A brief description of the three categories is provided below:

Medical Transcription: In these types of services, a transcriptionist is required to decipher the recordings of professional related to the health care industry and provide it in the form of a report, which can later be used as medical report. The recordings can be related to medical research, a particular patient’s case, medical speeches, seminars, etc.

It is better to avail the services of such a company which have transcribers who have proficiency in law, as the recordings may have certain unclear technical terms and information. The demand of legal transcription services is growing with each passing day. 
 
3.General Transcription: This type of service is usually availed by companies which are required to maintain a record of speeches, podcasts, webinars, interviews, etc. related to different fields such as finance, media, sports, business, etc.
